Welcome to "THE WOODBOX", The Winery Restaurant at Mystery Creek Wines.

A converted wooden home perched high on the riverbank, amongst the Mystery Creek "Home Block" Vineyard. The moment you arrive, the ambience will grab you, from the floor-to-ceiling schist chimney, housing a huge open flame fire to the sprawling decking or secluded style dining within the restaurant.

Our dream was to bring to you what we love about contemporary dining, and an uncompromising love of food and wine. We showcase an array of Tapas, wood fired gourmet pizzas and some of the freshest and most delectable of local meats, veg & of course wine.

We have the most superb team of chefs headed by Matt, who are passionate about their craft and keen for you to taste.

With key influences from Matt's time in Auckland, Melbourne and Rotorua owning and running some of the funkiest little spots, -the flavours will amaze. This, with the front of house that Lisa & Charlotte have gathered together, and one of the finest and most approachable wine lists in New Zealand, it is no wonder "The Woody" is the place to be.
